Welcome to Our Middle School
Renaissance School of the Arts is the hidden gem of the District 4 community. RSA is an open enrollment middle school, grades 6-8, founded in 2008 by Dr.Tammy Pate. The school focuses on the arts with three majors that students can choose from: band, dance, and visual arts.
The current Principal, Dr. Brian Bradley, took over in 2014. Since then, the standard middle school curricula have expanded to include high school level regents courses in algebra, living environment, and U.S. History for all 8th graders. The arts program has streamlined into a pre-conservatory style, technique based program that students engage in daily. This prepares students to compete in the rigorous admission auditions for specialized NYC high schools. RSA has a small community filled with passionate educators and loving, happy families all working together to promote well-being and success for our students.
Our Vision
RSA will become the premier arts program in District 4. Our students will gain entrance to and be competitive at the top arts high schools in New York City.
Our Mission
Through high level arts courses, the collaborative inquiry process, rigorous academic curricula, explicit social emotional instruction and focus on enhancing for success in all aspects of life. No limits No Boundaries.

Our Latest News

RSA welcomes our new principal, Mr. Wilson!
Greetings families,
I want to formally introduce myself to the RSA community. I am not new to the district and have been working and supporting the D4 community for 5 years as an assistant principal. It is with great honor and privilege to now be here at RSA as the principal. I look forward to continuing the great things Dr. Bradley left behind, picking up where he left off with a consistent push for both art and academic excellence. Feel free to reach out with your feedback, needs and wants. Our goal is to support you and our scholars in whatever capacity necessary to achieve success.
